The bright colors, extravagant outfits, hands full of mendhi, sound of the dhol and the feelings of love are the essence of an Indian wedding. More often than not, the grandeur of today’s weddings would make the older generation wonder where the simplicity of their time went. The budgets have shot up from a couple of lakhs to a couple of crores. What used to be a two days affair have now become a week long celebration. The likes of Shimla and Mussourie have been replaced by the likes of Paris and Seychelles as the favourite Honeymoon destinations.
